Clothing for outdoor play
Our outerwear packing list includes the practical layers and accessories needed for playtime in all weather. We’ve also added rainwear since it’s so easy to wipe clean – perfect for nursery. Remember: when winter arrives, simply swap shell layers for warm winter gear and swap polyester base layers for wool!
And rest assured, our clothes are built to handle any weather – and many, many seasons.

A drawer at nursery can be a lifesaver. Here are some helpful tips on clothes that cover most everyday needs.
Soft layers underneath
Soft, comfy pieces that work for both indoor play and under outerwear are always appreciated. They also make it easier for kids to move freely outdoors. Jersey jumpers and trousers are favourites.
Anti-slip socks
Always a good idea – we all know how slippery those floors can be. And no, the grips don’t make feet cold!
Soft slippers
A cosy favourite that helps with both cold and slippery floors.

- 2 long-sleeved tops
- 1 warmer top
- 2 T-shirts
- 2 jersey leggings
- 1–2 joggers
- 3 pairs of underwear
