Layers
Layering is the secret to keeping your children warm in changeable weather. Here we’ve put together garments that are comfy to wear as a soft layer 1, insulating layer 2 and protective layer 3.
Layers
In changeable weather, layering is the best option, and three layers are the way to go.
Layer 1 lies closet to the body and should be soft and comfy. Here you’ll find lightweight garments in 100% wool or wool blend for babies, children and adults – ideal for layering. All our wool garments have extra soft seams and are incredibly comfy against the skin. Wool helps to regulate body temperature, is naturally antibacterial, and insulates even when wet, making it optimal as a first layer.
Layer 2 should be warm and easy to wear under outerwear. For this, we recommend our pants and jackets in soft wool terry that you can find for both children and adults, or all-in-ones for babies. Our windproof fleece jacket also works well for layering. It’s comfy as an insulating and protective layer 2 and, thanks to the smart snap solution, can easily be attached to our STORMY shell jacket. The windproof fleece jacket withstands wind and light rain, and can therefore also function as Layer 3 in milder temperatures. The windproof fleece is available as a jacket for children and adults, and an all-in-one for babies.
Layer 3 is the protective outer layer and needs to withstand wind, rain and damp weather. Our test-winning shell garments are hard-wearing, windproof and waterproof. If you choose a P.OP Weather PRO garment, you can be sure that you get a layer 3 that meets our highest requirements in terms of durability, child safety, waterproofness and breathability.
All our garments can be passed on to siblings or friends. In this way, they can be enjoyed by multiple children. Our goal: at least three children per garment.
