Child safety

Tagssafety features, features, technical solutions

Read article

The safety features on our clothes are just as important to us as the materials used to make them and we have zero tolerance for product recalls for child safety reasons. This is why we focus on technical solutions that minimise potential risks and are specifically designed for children. You can rest assured that we always risk assess our garments to make quite sure that they satisfy our child safety requirements, which are frequently higher than those stipulated by the law.

Here you’ll find some examples of the features on our clothes for enhanced child safety:

Caps without metal buckles

Our caps never have metal buckles on the back, since these often have sharp edges that could scrape against a child’s delicate skin.

Drawstrings on the inside

The drawstring adjustment in our jackets is placed on the inside to reduce the risk of the cord getting caught in something.

Child safety

Neck warmers instead of scarves

For safety’s sake, we’ve made a choice to only make neck warmers/tube scarves that fit snugly around the neck, instead of long scarves that could easily get caught on something.

All-round reflectors for high visibility

Our outerwear garments always have 360-degree reflectors, so children are clearly visible from all angles when it’s dark.

Detachable hoods

We always have detachable hoods on jackets and hoodies for children from Size 80 (1 Y) to reduce the risk of the garments getting caught on something.

Hoods that ā€˜breathe’

We never use windproof fabric for the hood or front of our garments for babies, as very young children may have difficulty breathing through this type of fabric if it should cover their face.
